A small cargo plane slipped off a runway at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Friday night after its landing gear collapsed.

The pilot, alone on board, was uninjured. Although two of the airport's four runways were closed as a result of the accident, there was little effect on air traffic, said Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Patrick Hogan. The accident occurred just after 8 p.m.

Hogan said the left landing gear on the plane, which was owned by Bemidji Aviation, collapsed.
