Three Vikings are in the concussion protocol and were among the six players held out of Wednesday's practice.

Guard Alex Boone, linebacker Eric Kendricks and defensive tackle Tom Johnson were unable to practice due to brain injuries. Boone was the only player announced to have a concussion during the Vikings' 20-10 loss to the Bears on Monday night.

Running back Jerick McKinnon is still being held out of practice since injuring his ankle against the Eagles on Oct. 23.

The good news for the Vikings is safety Andrew Sendejo (knee) and punt returner Marcus Sherels (wrist) returned to practice on Wednesday. Both were limited in practice.

Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn (foot) was able to practice on a limited basis, indicating his postgame X-rays in Chicago didn't show anything that will keep him out long-term. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes (calf) was also limited on Wednesday.

Linebacker Anthony Barr was limited in practice because of a groin injury.

Offensive lineman Zac Kerin (hand) and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee) were also held out of practice.
