Spilled milk and furniture snarled traffic Friday night north of the Twin Cities.

Just after 9 p.m., a semitrailer truck hauling 1,500 gallons of milk hit debris on northbound Interstate 35 just south of the city of Wyoming, Minn., said Lt. Eric Roeske of the State Patrol.

The truck had unsuccessfully been swerving to avoid the furniture, scattered across the highway when a trailer became disconnected earlier.

The truck's fuel tank was torn open after hitting the highway median, Roeske said, and it lost some of its load of milk.

Nobody was injured.

The highway was reduced to one lane in each direction as crews worked to clean up the mess, Roeske said.
