The task: Create the healthiest possible menu for humans by sorting through thousands of health claims. British scientists at Leatherhead Food Research created a meal judged to have basis in scientific fact – and hailed it as the healthiest ever.
It includes:
- Fresh and smoked salmon terrine
- Mixed leaf salad with extra virgin olive oil
- Chicken casserole with lentils and mixed vegetables
- A live yogurt-based blancmange topped with walnuts and a sugar-free caramel-flavoured sauce
The scientists also included their own sports drink creation to boost performance. Its many ingredients include micro nutrients such as biotin, calcium, zinc, chromium copper, iron, potassium, selenium, and magnesium.
