A sense of pride from seeing one's work on display in a gallery is a rite of passage for art students.
Metro State University celebrated with its Student Salon. Held in the Gordon Parks Gallery, the salon features multimedia works by students in undergraduate programs. Media range from functional ceramics to watercolor portraits.
The intimate gallery, perched atop the St. Paul campus' library, also features the work of Minnesota photographer Gordon Parks.
The students' art will be on display through April 12.
