Tight end Kyle Rudolph was selected for the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, the sixth Vikings player picked for the game in Honolulu.
The 2011 second-round pick out of Notre Dame was named as an injury replacement when Atlanta Falcons veteran tight end Tony Gonzalez pulled out of this Sunday's game because of an injury. Rudolph is the 17th replacement player named to the NFC team.
Four Vikings were initially named to the Pro Bowl last month: defensive end Jared Allen, fullback Jerome Felton, running back Adrian Peterson and kicker Blair Walsh. Linebacker Chad Greenway was named as an injury replacement for Dallas' DeMarcus Ware earlier this month.
Rudolph had 53 receptions, nine touchdowns and 493 receiving yards this season. He is the first Vikings tight end named to the Pro Bowl since Byron Chamberlain in 2001.
