A 23-year-old Roseville woman who is accused of hiding behind big, black sunglasses while robbing five banks from the Twin Cities into western Wisconsin within a matter of weeks has been charged in one of the holdups.

Ranya Al-Huthaili was charged Thursday in federal court in Madison, Wis., with robbing the Dairy State Bank on Monday in Menomonie, Wis., the last of the heists she's accused of pulling off.

Al-Huthaili, who was arrested Monday evening at Rosedale Shopping Center, also allegedly held up Minnesota banks in Cologne, Stacy and Forest Lake, then one in Hudson, Wis.

According to the affidavit in the Menomonie robbery, Al-Huthaili admitted to the Sept. 5 holdup of the First State Bank and Trust in Hudson, the fourth of the five, as well as the one in Menomonie.

The FBI believes she robbed the Klein Bank in Cologne on Aug. 15, the First State Bank of Wyoming in Stacy on Aug. 23 and the TCF Bank in the Cub Foods on Broadway Avenue W. in Forest Lake on Sept. 1.

Al-Huthaili, a 2008 graduate of Roseville High School, marked her 23rd birthday the day after the Stacy holdup.

According to court documents in the Menomonie heist:

Al-Huthaili gave the teller a note that read, "I have a gun." The teller gave Al-Huthaili $2,350, which include "bait bills," which are marked to be easily traceable by law enforcement.

The next day, federal agents followed Al-Huthaili from her home in Roseville to Rosedale, where they saw her buy a laptop computer with cash. The agents examined the cash after she left the store and determined that it was from the Menomonie robbery.

Al-Huthaili was arrested that night and admitted to the two Wisconsin holdups. She remains in federal custody ahead of a court hearing Monday in St. Paul.
