A pair of Roseville runners took first place in the Alexandria Invitational cross-country meet Saturday at the Arrowhead Resort.

Acer Iverson won the boys' race while Bergen Haag captured the girls' top spot. They both won the Milaca Mega Meet a week ago.

Iverson, a junior, covered the 5K course in 15 minutes, 55.97 seconds. Haag, an eighth-grader, finished with a time of 19:01.58.

Stillwater won the boys' team title with 70 points while Willmar captured the girls' crown with 58 points.

Boys' soccer

Rockford 9, Brooklyn Center 1: Chris Chavez found the back of the net five times to lead the Rockets over the Centaurs, and he also had an assist. The junior is the second-leading scorer in Minnesota with 29 goals. This was his first five-goal performance this season; he has had three four-goal games.

St. Paul Academy 2, Holy Angels 0: Erik Lagos had a goal and an assist to lift the Spartans past the visiting Class 1A, No. 5 Stars. Adam Zukowski also scored for the Spartans.

Girls' soccer

Blake 2, Visitation 0 (OT): Bailey Abraham and CC Wallin scored in overtime to lift Class 1A, No. 4 Bears past the visiting Class 1A, No. 7 Blazers.

Wayzata 3, Armstrong 0: Eva Bruer scored two goals to lead the Trojans, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, to a win over the Falcons to close out the regular season. Maya Turner assisted on both of Bruer's goals and scored a goal of her own. Wayzata finished the regular season 12-0-3 with 11 shutouts.
