Media outlets are reporting that former Twins first baseman Justin Morneau has reached an agreement with the Colorado Rockies.

CBSsports.com reported late Tuesday night that Morneau, who was traded from the Twins to Pittsburgh in August, will get a two-year contract worth $13 million.

The plan would be for Morneau to have the first shot at replacing the retired Todd Helton at first base for the Rockies, who had also considered moving former Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer from the outfield to first base.

Here is the CBSsports.com report.

Morneau batted .259 last season with 17 home runs and 77 RBI in 152 games. In the 25 games after he was traded to Pittsburgh, he had no home runs and three RBI.
