Jim Mandelaro of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle has tweeted that Chris Colabello is headed back to the Twin Cities as a precaution against Trevor Plouffe landing on the disabled list.
Plouffe was activated from the 7-day concussion DL yesterday but strained a calf muscle during pre-game work and was scratched from the starting lineup against Milwaukee.
Too bad for the Twins, who have had their share of injuries lately. But another chance for Colabello, who was 1-for-11 in his first stint with the Twins before being sent down yesterday.
