A Ramsey massage parlor served as a front for prostitution, according to criminal charges filed Friday in Anoka County District Court.

Two people, the owner and manager of Sunlight Asian Massage, are charged with felony counts of receiving profits from prostitution. Owner Eswin Yoni Berrios, 41, of Minnetonka, and manager Lin Lin Li, 26, of Ramsey, made their first court appearances Friday.

According to the criminal complaint, police received complaints of prostitution at the location and found advertisements for Sunlight Asian Massage on Backpage.com showing scantily clothed women in sexual positions.

Police launched a yearlong undercover investigation into the business. Women allegedly were shuttled from the business to an apartment in Ramsey. Berrios paid rent on the apartment.

Officers found $60,000 in cash in the apartment during a search Thursday.

Berrios and Li also are proprietors of a massage business in Maple Grove, which had three separate confirmed incidents of prostitution with its employees, according to the criminal complaint.
