Koch, a center midfielder, is leading the Tigers in goals, and the team reached five wins first among South Suburban Conference teams.

Q: You have eight goals and two assists in eight games and the Tigers are 5-3. What has been going right for you and the team thus far?

A: The team has just done a really good job of working as a unit and being unselfish. The team has been rock solid on defense and the underclassmen have done a great job stepping up. I've just had the opportunities to put the ball in and have done so successfully so far.

Q: Are you considering playing college soccer? If so, what schools are you considering?

A: I am interested in playing college soccer. Schools I've been considering are the University of Wisconsin Parkside, St. Mary's University in Winona, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Gustavus Adolphus College.

Q: What are your goals for the 2016-17 school year as an athlete?

A: This season I'd like to make it to state. We've never been a travel team, which helps a lot in my development. Additionally, I always try to come early or stay late at practice to work on both my strengths and weaknesses. I put a lot of time on shooting and dribbling. Getting there would be an amazing achievement for the team.

Q: Why did you start playing soccer?

A: I started playing soccer at 4 years old, and it's kind of taken off since then. My parents don't have a background in it, so it's weird how I got so passionate about it.

Q: In 10 years, where do you hope to be in life?

A: Not living in my parents' basement.
