Here are three thoughts following the Twins' 6-5 win in 14 innings over the Brewers.

1. WHO WILL PLAY TOMORROW?: Joe Mauer caught all 14 innings. Justin Morneau was a little stiff before the game. Jamey Carroll played a 14 innings at a demanding position at age 39. Gardy already is wondering what kind of lineup he'll have Wednesday. ``We'll have to see who will walk in and play," he said.

2. DOZIER'S ALL AROUND GAME: Brian Dozier believes he's fixed a flaw in his swing. He wasn't getting his foot down quick enough and not getting the bat head out in time. He went 3-for-5 on Tuesday, giving the Twins some sorely-needed production at the top of the order. He also played well in the field, making an excellent diving catch of Norichika Aoki's liner in the 14th. ``He had a real nice night all the way around," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. ``He made some nice plays, none better than that one at the end."

3. JEAN SEGURA ROCKS: The rookie shortstop homers to dead center on Monday, then gets six hits on Tuesday to tie a Brewers record. He's batting .365. Stud. ``Oh my, he hits everything you throw up there," Gardy said. ``He's got one of the shortest most compact swings you'll ever see. He seems to be on everything."

BONUS THOUGHT: A good center fielder covers ground and dives to make plays. The great ones must be willing to sacrifice the body sometimes. We have learned that Aaron Hicks has no problem with that as he raced to the wall, jumped. reached over and crashed to the ground to steal a home run for the second time this year. Props to Carlos Gomez, who tipped his helmet as a show of praise. Gomez should know what it's like to steal home runs: He goes back on a ball as well as anyone on the game. Hicks didn't see the hat tip because he had crashed to the ground. ``I gotta work on my dismount," he said. He also said he has no problems giving up the body to make plays. ``Of course," he said. ``To help my pitcher out, to help prevent a run, I'll do that all day."
