Just another Lynx home win, right?

Perhaps not. And not just because Maya Moore scored a career-high 35 points. Or because she and Seimone Augustus absolutely dominated the fourth quarter.

OK, so this isn't the same Indiana team that beat the Lynx in last year's WNBA finals. But they are very physical, very good on defense and very difficult to shake, as the Lynx learned Saturday. But the Lynx – still working their way past a stretch in which they lost four of five games while struggling to finish contests – felt to a person that Saturday's victory was a signature win.

The Lynx never trailed, but never seemed in complete control. The Fever countered every punch with one of their own. The result was a back-and-forth game that was tied 72-72 in the fourth quarter.

That was when the Lynx defense got tougher, and when Moore and Seimone Augustus took over.

Here are some thoughts on tonight's win:

--Moore was amazing tonight. She hit on 15 of 21 shots. She had eight rebounds, three assists, four steals, two blocks. She had 11 in the first quarter, four in the second, nine in the third and 11 in the fourth.

--It was a very strange game for point guard Lindsay Whalen. She was scoreless on 0-for-7 shooting at halftime, though she had seven rebounds. But she had nine points on 4-for-6 shooting with four assists in the second half.

--Center Janel McCarville was another player with a big game. She hit two of three three-pointers, giving her four for the season, which equals her career total entering this season. She was 5-for-7 shooting, with five assists on a night when the Lynx wanted to pound the ball inside to Moore and Augustus. She played very nice defense on Erlana Larkins.

--The Lynx bench struggled, totaling just four points. It seemed Monica Wright, Devereaux Peters and Rachel Jarry all had a hard time; Reeve basically stopped using her bench mid-way through the third quarter. All five starters played more than 31 minutes. Moore played 38 of a possible 40 minutes. Rebekkah Brunson played 37 minutes, Augustus more than 34½ and Whalen 32½.

That's about it for tonight. Have a great rest of your weekend.
