The Wolves started Friday night without J.J. Barea, then lost Brandon Roy for the entire second half with that same sore knee he banged last week and...still the Wolves improved to 4-1 at Target Center with a last-second victory over Indiana.

Chase Budinger provided the winning layup when he broke wide open free down the lane from the out near the three-point line and converted Andrei Kirilenko's improvised pass into the winning layup after the Wolves already appeared to have won the game twice.

Here's the game story from tonight.

Budinger came out to begin the second half with the other four starters after Roy banged his knee again in the first half and couldn't come back after halftime.

Roy did travel with the team to Chicago after the game but no idea yet whether he'll be able to play Saturday night against the Bulls.
I'd doubt it, but...

The Wolves still lead the Northwest Division and now are three games over .500 for the first time since they were 20-17 in the 2006-07 season.

Kent Youngblood's got the Bulls game, so he'll blog at you pre-game from Chicago.

I'll be back Monday in Dallas.

There should post-game video imbedded in here soon for your viewing pleasure.
