Minneapolis police are looking for three suspects in yet another robbery near the University of Minnesota.

In the latest incident, three men wearing hoodies approached a man who was walking in the area of SE. 8th Street and 12th Avenue SE. around 3:45 a.m. Sunday. One of the suspects displayed a handgun. The three robbers took the victim's wallet and ran eastbound, police said.

The holdup was at least the fifth since classes for spring semester resumed on Jan. 18, although Sunday's robbery did not appear to have involved a university student, the University of Minnesota Police Department tweeted.

Students were the victims of four previous holdups. They occurred on Jan. 19 at 6th Street and 11th Avenue SE., Jan. 20 at 8th Street and 14th Avenue SE., Jan. 21 at the Bridges Apartments at 930 University Avenue SE. and Jan. 23 at 5th Street and 9th Avenue SE. In all cases, victims said the suspects showed a handgun. In three of the four robberies, suspects made off with students' cash, electronics and school IDs. The fourth robbery was foiled when a student yelled for help and the robbers fled.
