The police want the public's help identifying who was inside a white Chevrolet Uplander that pulled alongside Tommy Bardney April 2 moments before he was shot in the head and left to die. The SUV, which may have had a rooftop luggage rack, was occupied by at least two people, according to police.

A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered by Crimestoppers of Minnesota to anyone who can provide the Minneapolis police with information about the shooting.

Witnesses said Bardney, 34, was speaking to his wife in the seconds before he was killed. The couple sat inside a van parked on the 1000 block of Humboldt Avenue North. The Uplander pulled alongside them at about 3:20 p.m. and someone inside shot through Bardney's driver's side window and hit him in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Uplander is believed to be a 2005 to 2008 model, similar to the one pictured here, according to police.
