A pickup truck ran a red light at a busy Minnetonka intersection and struck a car, killing the smaller vehicle's driver in a crash that involved four vehicles, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday at Hwys. 101 and 7, an intersection heavily traveled by students and staff at nearby Minnetonka High School, the State Patrol said.

Killed was Elizabeth P. Ketcher, 58, of Burnsville, according to the patrol. The occupants of the other three vehicles were not hurt.

According to the patrol, a Ford Super Duty pickup driven by Darvin R. Basche, 49, of Apple Valley, was on northbound Hwy. 101 and stopped at the red light before moving again. It broadsided Ketcher's Toyota Corolla as she traveled west through the green light. Ketcher's car then hit two other vehicles. Paul Walsh
