Running back Adrian Peterson, who is dealing with a trio of injuries, is active for today's game against the Bears. So is his fullback, Zach Line.

Peterson sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday and was listed as probable to play on Friday's final injury report. Line was probable, too.

Defensive tackle Tom Johnson and wide receiver Adam Thielen are also up.

Johnson will get his second straight start in place of Sharrif Floyd, who will miss his second straight game after having cartilage removed from his knee.

Joining Floyd on the inactive list for today's game are quarterback Taylor Heinicke, linebacker Audie Cole, tight end Rhett Ellison, defensive end Justin Trattou, and offensive linemen Nick Easton and Jeremiah Sirles.

With Ellison out, tight end Chase Ford is active for the first time this season.

Inactive for the Bears are center Hroniss Grasu, linebacker Shea McClellin, tackle Jermon Bushrod, running back Ka'Deem Carey, cornerback Terrance Mitchell, wide receiver Cameron Meredith and defensive end Bruce Gaston.

With Grasu and Bushrod out, the Bears will move former face of the Vikings franchise Vladimir Ducasse to left guard. Matt Slauson will play center and Patrick Omameh will start at right guard. Charles Leno will start at left tackle in place of Bushrod.

Here is some pregame reading to keep you busy until today's noon kickoff:

— Heads up today, Jay Cutler. The Vikings pass rush is on a roll right now.

— Kicker Blair Walsh has given his shaky start the boot by nailing 10 straight field-goal attempts. So what did Walsh do to get his groove back?

— A lot has changed for the Bears since these two teams last met.

— I picked the Vikings to win, so that means they will probably lose.
