Closer Glen Perkins has been picked to the American League pitching staff for the July 15 All-Star Game at Target Field. Perkins has a 3-0 record, 3.22 ERA and 20 saves in 36 games for the Twins this season.
In 2013, Perkins was named as an injury replacement for Boston's Clay Buchholz and didn't appear in in the game.
