Lots of players, both locally based and out-of-towners, are starting to commit to the Locked-out NHL Player Charity Game and Jersey Auction later this month at Mariucci Arena.

The game is at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 (note time change) and is to benefit Defending the Blue Line (www.defendingtheblueline.org).

Headlining the event will be the Wild's Zach Parise.

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance, $30 at the door, and can be purchased via www.mygophersports.com. About 1,000 tickets have been sold. Player game worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off after the game and all fans will be entered into a raffle for a variety of prizes.
"In the event the collective bargaining agreement between the NHL and NHLPA is settled prior to the event, DTBL reserves the right to provide an alternate game, or convert the monies spent on event tickets to a charitable donation to DTBL."
