You can add southbound 35E to the long and growing list of road closings in the metro area.
From 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, two southbound lanes between Maryland Avenue and Cayuga Street will be closed. At 11 p.m., the entire section of freeway will be closed for about 15 minutes to allow crews to remove an overhead sign.
the work is part of the I-35E/Cayuga project, which includes replacing the Cayuga Bridge and reconstructing 35E between Maryland Avenue and University Avenue. A bridge at Pennsylvania Avenue and nearby railroad bridges also will be replaced.
