Here's a cautionary tale for those who think they can have a few drinks and drive a few blocks with no one being the wiser.
According to the Fargo Forum newspaper, Moorhead police were on patrol about 1 a.m. Friday when they came upon a minor accident involving two vehicles.
Each had only one occupant - the driver. One was a 21-year-old woman, and the other was a 33-year-old man. Both lived just down the road, in Fargo.
Officers reported that while talking to the drivers about the fender-bender, the officers got the impression they'd both had too much to drink.
The usual drill followed, and soon the minor accident had major consequences, including a free ride for both drivers to the Clay County Jail.
Here's the Forum's story, with a few more particulars.
