Patrick was born June 4, 1944 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Beverly Cunningham. Graduate of DeLaSalle High School, and University of Minnesota Alum. Married Marcia Jean Brown in 1966. Patrick joined the St Louis Park Police Department and served for 31 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Under his father's guidance Patrick achieved Eagle Scout.
