White, Dale J. age 78, of Columbia Heights, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Wyoming, Minnesota. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at the First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm. Dale was a generous, fun-loving person who enjoyed his family, the outdoors, bowling, movies and woodworking. The cabin in Bruno, MN (Our Little Bit of Heaven) was a very special place where he loved to mow grass with his Farmall H tractor fitted with a belly mower, and hunt with his sons and grandsons. He spent many family suppers sitting by the fire pit and gazing at the stars. Dale enjoyed taking his dog, Whitney, for a run through the woods. He worked at Honeywell for 38 years in the Aero Division, and enjoyed his work as well as those who worked with him. He also served in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 6-1/2 years. Dale was active with the YMCA Guides, Boy Scouts of America, Honeywell Retirees Volunteer Program, Rebuilding Together Twin Cities, the Honeywell Everybody WinsMinnesota Reading Program, and many boards at First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Kenneth; his parents, Ralph and Mildred White; and sister Carol Olson. Dale is survived by Faith, his wife of fifty years; sons Douglas (Rebekka) and Timothy (Shannon); and grandsons Drew and Finn. He is also survived by his sisters JeanAnn Hagen, Connie Lyke (Tom), Marilyn Anderson, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers all donations will be given in his name to the American Heart Association.
