Headen, Richard Harvey 74, of Wayzata, died Nov. 6 from complications of myotonic muscular dystrophy. He was a graduate of Macalester College and San Francisco Theological Seminary, where he also earned his D. Min. Dick was a Presbyterian pastor for 30 years in IA and NE. He returned to his hometown of Minneapolis in 1999, serving as Associate Executive Presbyter until retiring in 1999. Dick worked to further social justice, especially international understanding, equality for women, and LGBTQ rights. Preceded in death by daughter Elizabeth; survived by wife Evelyn, daughters Emily (Van Havig), Katherine (Eric) Waddell, and granddaughters Livia & Charlotte. Memorial service at St. Luke Presbyterian Church, Wayzata, 11/13 at 1:30 pm. Visitation from 12 noon at the church. Memorials preferred to Wellstone Muscular Dystrophy Fund, U of MN.
