Higgins, Genevieve M. "Ginette" age 93, of Mpls. passed away Jan. 24, 2016. Preceded in death by Robert, her beloved husband of 54 years; brother, Charles Berthelin; and sister, Lucette DiMarino. Survived by children, Chuck (Pat), Mike (Cathy), Marie-Therese (Denis) Lefebvre; grandchildren, Dawn, Jennifer, Erin, Catherine, Colin, Geoffrey, Mariah and Galen; and great-grandchildren. Ginette was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension and the Rosary Society. She was an assistant coordinator for Franciscan retreats. Her memberships also included the Society of the Little Flower and the French War Bride's Club. She was a devoted wife and mother: self-sacrificing and generous with family and friends. She was a highly intelligent person, very well read and a devotee of music, especially classical music. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday (1/30), 10 AM with visitation starting at 9 AM at the Church of the Ascension, 1723 Bryant Ave. No., Mpls. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
