Stangler, Jerome V. "Jerry" Age 85, of Edina Minnesota died February 21, 2018 at N.C. Little Hospice. Jerry was born December 19, 1932 in Waseca, MN the oldest son of Ed and Lillian Stangler. He grew up on the family farm in Kilkenny, MN. Jerry attended high school in Waterville, MN and soon after attended the Minnesota School of Business. He served in the Army in Germany, and upon discharge went to work for International Milling (International Multifoods). When traveling for work Jerry met Gisele Beauchesne in Montreal. Jerry and Gisele were married on October 25, 1958 in Victoriaville, Quebec. Mid-career he attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Jerry retired after 34 years at International Multifoods serving in accountant, financial controller and senior management positions. In retirement Jerry was an active volunteer both in Minnesota and Mesa, AZ. Jerry is remembered for his loving, gentle, and humble spirit. He was a man with a strong work ethic, and willingness to help and serve others. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Lillian and sister Lorraine Heyer, sister-in-law Lois Ann Stangler and brother-in-law Gerald Heyer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Gisele (Gigi); sons David (Michelle) and Richard (Laurie); grandchildren Teresa Hutchinson (Brandon), Laura, AnaNicolle and Alexandra; great grandchildren Logan and Brayden Hutchinson; brothers Lawrence, Leo (Cheryl) and Ed (Mary) and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral mass is planned for a later date in April. A separate announcement will be made at that time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Jerry may be made to St. Richards Catholic Church and Sharing and Caring Hands.
