Suspicious activity. Authorities contacted the registered owner of a vehicle abandoned in a ditch in the 12000 block of 53rd Street. The owner said he had been drinking only after driving and explained that the car had gone off the road due to worn tire treads.

COLUMBUS

FEB. 12

Underage consumption. A 20-year-old man was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol in the 13400 block of West Freeway Drive NE.

FRIDLEY

FEB. 10

Theft. A woman reported that keys to 40 apartments and condominiums were stolen from her vehicle in the 600 block of Bennett Drive NE.

FEB. 11

Suspicious activity. A woman from the 5600 block of 4th Street NE. reported that a pizza delivery person came to her door despite the fact that she hadn't ordered a pizza. She told him to leave and he complied.

Domestic. Officers responded to a report of an argument between a 37-year-old mother and her 16-year-old daughter at a home in the 900 block of Pandora Drive NE. Officers mediated the argument, which was over cleaning the house and taking responsibility.

LAUDERDALE

FEB. 9

Traffic/Drugs. A 44-year-old man was arrested and cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, speeding and an equipment violation, in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Hwy. 280.

MAPLEWOOD

FEB. 5

Burglary. Someone rammed the front garage doors of a business in the 1900 block of Woodlynn Avenue and stole tires valued at more than $1,000. Several days earlier a man, using a false name and address, had ordered but not paid for the tires that were taken.

MOUNDS VIEW

FEB. 11

Theft. A 36-year-old Bloomington woman and a 36-year-old Maplewood man were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle at Taco Bell, 2219 Mounds View Blvd.

Drunken driving. A 25-year-old Mounds View man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of a controlled substance, failure to stay in a single lane and carrying no proof of insurance, following a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Edgewood Drive.

NEW BRIGHTON

FEB. 5

Burglary. Toys and miscellaneous paperwork valued at $300 were taken from a garage broken into at a home in the 300 block of Old Hwy. 8 SW.

ST. ANTHONY

FEB. 7

Theft. A man from the 3200 block of Stinson Boulevard reported that his daughter and two unknown males had taken his vehicle without permission. The daughter later returned but the males still had the vehicle, which was later recovered at the scene of a homicide in Minneapolis.

FEB. 10

Underage consumption. An 18-year-old man was arrested and cited for underage consumption of alcohol after he was seen stumbling at Silver Lake Road and Silver Lane. He was released to the custody of his sister.

FEB. 6

Driving complaint. Authorities received a report of a driver in a dark gray sports-utility vehicle who was tailgating, passing on the shoulder and giving the finger to the complainant, in the area of Scandia Trial and Lofton Avenue.
