Drugs. After a traffic stop for an equipment violation at 20th Avenue and Main Street, the driver, a 19-year-old man, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was then released. The passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was cited for the same and released to his mother.

Theft. Wood, cut down from a tree, was stolen from the 100 block of North Road.

COON RAPIDS

OCT. 8

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to Goodwill, 3071 Coon Rapids Blvd NW., on a report of two customers, a 55-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, arguing in the store. An officer and staff were unable to determine who was in line first, at the glass case, for a pair of shoes that were on sale for $1 on Tuesdays. The manager decided that neither of them could buy the shoes. They were advised to finish their shopping without any further incidents.

Theft. Someone stole 15 batteries from five trucks at ABC Supply Co. Inc., 10141 Woodcrest Drive NW.

OCT. 3

Suspicious. A woman called police because she heard something knocking at her apartment on the 6000 block of 2nd Street NE. Officers found it was her boyfriend trying to get into the apartment.

OCT. 4

Property damage. A resident cut down three mature trees at Farr Lake Park. The resident's property is adjacent to the park. The city will pursue the matter civilly.

OCT. 17

Theft. A handicap parking placard was stolen from a vehicle parked at the post office, 7440 University Av. NE. The windows were left down.

OCT. 18

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report ongoing issues with a woodpecker on the 6100 block of Star Lane NE. Options of sound deterrence, netting and plugging the holes were discussed with the caller.

OCT. 21

Animal call. A woman from the 5800 block of 2nd Street NE wanted police to take her sick cat because she could no longer care for it. She was advised to contact the Humane Society.

OCT. 23

Found. A grandmother called police to report that she found a butter knife near her grandson's bus stop on Main Street NE and 58th Avenue and turned it over to the bus driver. She was informed that it was not a police matter and, in the future, she could destroy dangerous foreign objects herself.

OCT. 17

Theft. A 22-year-old man and a 49-year-old man were arrested for possession of stolen property on Greenfield Avenue.

OCT. 12

Theft. A hunting bow and equipment were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 15100 block of Ute Street NW.

OCT. 14

Robbery. An armed robbery occurred at SuperAmerica, 14100 St. Francis Blvd. NW. The suspect, with a shotgun, fled with $253 taken from the cash register.

Forgery. A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly trying to cash a forged check for $900 at Twin City Federal Bank, 3930 Silver Lake Road
