Suspicious activity. A man reported finding taunting and harassing notes meant for his son left in his mailbox in the 13000 block of Tomahawk Drive. The complainant suspected they were put there by his son's ex-girlfriend.

COLUMBUS

OCT. 1

Theft. Tires were stolen off a vehicle on the 14700 block of Lake Drive NE.

OCT. 6

Theft. A vehicle was stolen from a business on the 14400 block of Lake Drive NE. The keys were left in the vehicle.

FALCON HEIGHTS

SEPT. 27

Tamper with vehicle. A man, 23, was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him in a neighbor's vehicle as well as trying the doors of other vehicles in the 1500 block of Hoyt Avenue.

FRIDLEY

OCT. 3

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a home on the 100 block of Alden Circle NE. regarding a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported someone in his living room. Officers detained the male suspect and the homeowner realized it was his friend doing remodeling work at the home.

Medical. Officers responded to the 200 block of 57th Avenue NE. regarding a male who fell off his bike. The male appeared to be intoxicated and was all right. He refused medical attention and agreed to walk his bike to his house.

Animal complaint. A resident on the 7800 block of Firwood Way NE. reported an injured raccoon that was being beaten with a shovel by neighbor kids. An officer was unable to catch the raccoon as it climbed a tree. The kids said they were chasing the raccoon out of the yard.

Suspicious activity. A homeowner reported hearing someone in his basement on the 7400 block of Jackson Street NE. Officers determined the noises were from the homeowner's cat.

HAM LAKE

OCT. 7

Burglary. Officers responded to a business on the 1300 block of 153rd Lane NE. regarding a burglary. Later, the business owner noticed some of the stolen items on a Facebook page. A 23-year-old man was located and arrested for burglary.

LAKELAND

SEPT. 27

Illegal racing. Two males on dirt bikes were reported speeding in a residential neighborhood in the 300 block of Queenan Avenue. The caller, concerned for the safety of children in the area, said it has been an ongoing issue.

MOUNDS VIEW

OCT. 3

Theft. Jewelry and cash, valued at over $8,000, were stolen from a home on the 4000 block of Glenhaven Lane.

NEW BRIGHTON

SEPT. 28

Criminal damage to property. Surveillance camera equipment was reported damaged in the 2200 block of Sunnyside Terrace.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

SEPT. 25

Dumping complaint. A resident in the 9000 block citing an ongoing littering problem asked authorities to track someone off information from a liquor store receipt she found outside her home. She was advised the level of the infraction would not warrant such a search.

WOODBURY

SEPT. 27

Suspicious activity. Police checked a garage in the 2200 block of Fieldstone Curve after a radio reportedly turned on without anyone being there. Everything appeared normal and police speculated a timer may have been inadvertently set on the radio causing it to turn on.
