AUG. 12

Theft. A 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 2003 Ford Expedition were stolen from a driveway in the 23700 block of 3rd Street NE. The keys were left inside both vehicles.

AUG. 22

Found child. Someone reported finding a small child in the 400 block of Village Parkway, while at the same time a 31-year-old woman was reporting that her 3-year-old daughter was missing. An officer walked the child the short distance back to her home. The girl had slipped out of the house while her mother was caring for a baby.

FALCON HEIGHTS

AUG. 15

Narcotics. A 43-year-old man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and brass knuckles after being pulled over near Larpenteur and Prior avenues. He also was found to be driving with a revoked license.

FRIDLEY

AUG. 22

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 7400 block of Bacon Drive. Officers located the driver of the vehicle, who said he was eating lunch and resting during his lunch break.

Burglary. Beer was stolen from a refrigerator in a garage in the 200 block of 58th Avenue NE. The perpetrator gained entry by kicking in the service door.

MAPLEWOOD

AUG. 9

Traffic/Narcotics. A traffic stop near Maryland Avenue and Lakewood Drive led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man for driving after revocation, driving without insurance and possession of marijuana.

AUG. 11

Motor vehicle theft. Four juveniles were booked for attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage to property after getting caught trying to steal a vehicle in the 1300 block of Beam Avenue.

AUG. 18

Theft. A handgun was stolen from an apartment in the 5400 block of Jackson Drive.

AUG. 22

Theft. A forklift valued at $10,000 was stolen from the 2200 block of County Road H.

Drugs. A 20-year-old man was cited for open bottle and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle after he was found smoking marijuana in his vehicle in the 2500 block of Mounds View Boulevard.

AUG. 23

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious man hiding behind a dumpster at Burger King, 2651 County Road I. The 30-year-old man was arrested for violation of an order for protection, trespassing and three warrants.

AUG. 25

Theft. A bird bath valued at $10 was stolen from the 2600 block of Lake Court Drive.

AUG. 11

Theft. Someone reported being tricked into returning $100 more than required in change in the 1100 block of Silver Lake Road.
