Refusal to pay. A deputy responded to a report of a man from Lacosta Drive who refused to pay for a taxi ride because he said he had already paid for Uber. He eventually paid for the taxi.

Animal complaint/warrant. A man was arrested for a warrant in the parking lot at Afton Apple Orchard, 14421 S. 90th St., after authorities checked on a report of distressed dogs in a vehicle registered in his name.

Child found. Officers responded to a report of an unsupervised child playing in the roadway in the 4700 block of NE. 3rd Street. An officer found the 2-year-old girl and spoke with her 40-year-old father, who was inside their home.

Driving complaint. A motorcyclist was reported driving 70 mph and doing wheelies on Jamaica Avenue near 110th Street.

SEPT. 6
Littering. A man admitted leaving a pallet of used roofing shingles on 3M Co. property, after initially denying it, in the 600 block of Carlton Street. The man confessed when shown closed-circuit footage of him dumping the shingles.

Drugs. A 25-year-old woman was arrested for warrants and possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at Mounds View Boulevard and Edgewood Drive.

Drunken driving. A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of methamphetamine after police responded to a report of a driver slumped at the wheel near Thom Drive and Cleveland Avenue.

Theft. A skateboard rail was stolen from a front yard in the 1400 block of 17th Street.
OAKDALE
SEPT. 6
Suspicious person. A man was reported walking across private property in the 3400 block of Geneva Avenue. He told an officer that he was picking mushrooms. He was told to stay off private property unless he had permission to be there.
SEPT. 7
Suspicious activity. Police responded to a report of a woman digging up plants at Walton Park, 1584 Hadley Av. She agreed to put them back and apologized, telling an officer that she wasn't aware she shouldn't do it.
ST. ANTHONY
SEPT. 11
Harassment. Officers responded to a report of a restraining order violation in the 2600 block of Kenzie Terrace. A woman reported that the suspect entered her apartment while she was sleeping and took a bite out of a cake. Officers were unable to find an active restraining order.
SEPT. 12
Theft. Dentures and an iPad were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3500 block of Stinson Boulevard.
