Lourdes AD to retire

Marv Peters, in his 44th years as the athletic director at Rochester Lourdes, announced he will retire in June on Friday during the Eagles' homecoming football game.

Teams at Lourdes won 43 state titles during Peters' tenure, and finished state runners-up 30 times.

"Lourdes has been like family," Peters said. "The many coaches, the thousands of students and their families, and the great friendships in teaching and administration have made it a great vocation."

Peters also was the defensive coordinator and later the head football coach for part of his time at Lourdes.
