Fresh from opening for his hometown pals the Big Wu at their 13th annual Family Reunion this past weekend, Nicholas David will open for one of the biggest acts around this October. The Twin Cities music vet – known as Nick "The Feelin'" Mrozinski before he brought the fire to NBC's "The Voice" last year -- will join rootsy twang-folk favorites the Avett Brothers on tour for two weeks Oct. 4-18 out west. He will also end the year back home at First Avenue, where he has booked another two-night stand Dec. 27-28 after selling out his prior double-date there in May (ticket info coming soon). Two more shows are booked Dec. 20-21 at the Paramount Theater in St. Cloud.

The Avett gigs were announced this morning along with other details of a national Nicholas David marketing campaign that kicks off Wednesday night with a special showcase at El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. His new publicity handler, the Mitch Schneider Organization, is one of Los Angeles' biggest firms. It's also touting Nick's four-song EP, "Say Goodbye," which was produced by "The Voice's" house-band leader Paul Mirkovitch and made it to No. 1 on the iTunes Alternative Chart in June.
