INDIANAPOLIS -- After updating the previous blog a few times on the subject of the NFL looking at a change in its overtime policy, we can now tell you officially what is being considered.

That's because NFL spokesman Greg Aiello was kind enough to tweet about it. With the Saints having defeated the Vikings on the first possession of OT in the NFC title game, the NFL's competition committee is looking at a change in the sudden-death format for the playoffs.

Aiello tweeted that the committee is discussing with clubs and players the idea that both teams would be guaranteed a possesion unless the first team with the ball scores a touchdown. Doesn't seem like a bad idea.
