Minneapolis legal entrepreneur Andrew Parker has started yet another law firm.

Joined by litigators Chris Daniels and Jesse Kibort, Parker has launched Parker Daniels Kibort.

"By combining forces with Chris and Jesse, we're able to build on my expertise in handling all forms of labor and employment advice, counsel and litigation matters by adding their deep expertise in litigating complex business cases in the banking, real estate and construction sectors, and as well as issues that arise amongst owners of closely held companies," Parker said in a statement.

Parker had formed his previous firm, Parker Rosen, in 2005 with attorney Daniel Rosen, who last week announced he would lead the new Twin Cities office of Miami-based Kluger, Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine.

Before that, Parker founded Smith Parker with attorney Louis Smith.

"Most people immediately think that there is or was some acrimony between me and my former partners. Nothing could be further from the truth," Parker said. "In both instances, my partners and I simply wanted to go in different directions professionally. … What's notable is that both firms were very successful and our parting very friendly. I think that's pretty unusual in today's legal battleground."

Daniels, a lawyer and a former certified public accountant, has experience in what he likes to call "business divorces" — when owners are either forced out, walk away or want other owners to leave their companies. Kibort is a commercial litigator with skills in real estate, banking and other specialized areas.
