No arrests have been made in a shooting over the weekend in Minneapolis that left one man dead and another wounded, authorities said Monday.

"At this point, it appears the suspect and victims know each other," police spokesman Scott Seroka said about the violence that occurred shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Girard Avenue N. "This does not appear to be random."

The dead man was identified Monday night as Anthony Magnan, 24, of Minneapolis. The Hennepin County medical examiner's office said he died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

A 27-year-old man was wounded and taken by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center, according to police records.

Police say they were alerted to the gunfire by the department's shot spotter sensing technology.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call police at 612-692-8477.
