The dominoes are falling A crazy November that was highlighted by the return of Sidney Crosby ended with three coaches getting fired three days apart -- Bruce Boudreau (Washington), Paul Maurice (Carolina) and Randy Carlyle (Anaheim).

Who's next? Four coaches remain on the hot seat -- Joe Sacco (Colorado), Brent Sutter (Calgary), Jacques Martin (Montreal) and Jack Capuano (N.Y. Islanders).

The Ducks called Boudreau on Monday -- the same day he was fired. How quickly before Carlyle, who has this year plus two more left on his contract, lands a job?

Agent with an axe Columbus Blue Jackets assistant Todd Richards wasn't the target of Allan Walsh this time, but the former Wild coach can't escape the outspoken agent. Walsh lit into Blue Jackets head coach Scott Arniel last week for his treatment of Derick Brassard (seven scratches in 10 games).

"The coach has a history of burying players and using them as scapegoats to mask his own lack of success on the ice," Walsh said of Arniel.

Remember, it was Walsh who went after Richards for his treatment of clients Petr Sykora and Martin Havlat in Minnesota.

News and notes • The Rangers' Brandon Dubinsky didn't like the fact that seldom-used Flyers enforcer Jody Shelley called him a "weasel" on HBO's "24-7" preview: "First of all, if I was him, I'd keep my mouth shut if I don't play, especially since I never see him on the ice. He's usually just yapping from the bench, and I guess now he's yapping from behind the video camera."
