Hamline held on for a 31-28 victory over St. Olaf in Northfield, Minn., on Saturday, to end a 28-game losing streak in the MIAC.

The Pipers (2-3, 1-3 MIAC) led 31-21 with 2:25 left. But the Oles (1-5, 0-4) got within three on a hook-and-ladder connection from Nate Penz to Jake Schmiesing, who lateraled to Kevin Odom for a touchdown with 41 seconds to play.

Hamline recovered the ensuing onside kick to clinch its first conference victory since 2009 and end a 14-game losing streak to the Oles, too.
