Alex Fenske and Jacques Perra each threw two touchdown passes to lead St. Thomas, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division III, to a 57-17 nonconference victory over Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday in St. Paul.

The Tommies (2-0) scored two touchdowns in a 13-second span late in the first quarter to open a 13-0 lead.

Fenske's 21-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Hull and Carter Schmitz' PAT put the Tommies ahead 7-0 with 1:45 left in the first quarter. Two plays later, senior defensive back Michael Alada 23-yard interception return for a TD made it 13-0. The Tommies led 36-7 at halftime.

Jordan Roberts rushed 20 times for 91 yards and one TD and Tucker Trettel rushed for two TDs for the Tommies. On defense, St. Thomas had 11 tackles for loss and forced four turnovers. Alada had two interceptions.

St. John's 40, Buena Vista 17: Jackson Erdmann passed for 259 yards and five touchdowns for the Johnnies in a nonconference victory in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Erdmann threw four touchdown passes in the first half as the Johnnies, ranked No. 8, built a 33-0 halftime lead. Erdmann's fifth TD pass gave the Johnnies a 40-10 lead early in the fourth quarter.

The Johnnies (2-0), who outgained the Beavers (0-2) 482-353, had 349 yards on 30 plays in the first half.

Gustavus 24, Wisconsin-River Falls 14: The host Gusties scored 17 points in a 3½-minute span in the second quarter against the Falcons in St. Peter, Minn.

Brendan Boche's 27-yard field goal gave the Gusties a 10-7 lead with 8:33 left in the first half. On the ensuing possession, Matt Berkner blocked a punt that was recovered by Kevin Krohn and returned 3 yards for a TD. Moments later Casey Decker returned an interception 75 yards to give the Gusties a 23-7 lead.

The Falcons scored twice in the fourth quarter to pull within 24-21 with 3:57 to play. The Falcons got the ball back with 2:52 left, but the Gusties stopped the Falcons on downs.

Carthage 40, Bethel 34 (OT): Carthage rallied from a 28-12 halftime deficit to outlast the host Royals. Carthage led 34-28 late in the fourth quarter before Bethel's Bridgeport Tusler's 2-yard TD run with 25 seconds left forced the overtime.

Concordia (Moorhead) 25, Wisconsin-Eau Claire 7: Dane Ringquist rushed for 106 yards and Jason Montonye for 92 yards and a touchdown to lead the host Cobbers over the Blugolds. Chad Johnson rushed for two TDs and 44 yards as the Cobbers ran for 295 yards.

Concordia (Wis.) 24, Augsburg 14: Aaron Nixon passed for 238 yards and a touchdown and Logan Hass rushed for 86 yards and a TD to lead the Falcons over the Auggies in Mequon, Wis. The Auggies' Isiah Malone returned an interception 39 yards for a TD.

Luther 46, St. Olaf 40 (2OT): The Oles rallied from a 20-point deficit to force overtime, before the Norse pulled out the victory in Northfield. St. Olaf, which trailed 30-17 going into the fourth quarter, scored 16 points in a row late in the fourth quarter to pull even at 33-33. Luther's Christian Moore scored the eventual winning touchdown from 1 yard out. The Norse then stopped St. Olaf in the second overtime with an interception. St. Olaf's Jack Goldstein was 40-for-66 for 368 yards and four TDs.

Lake Forest 42, Carleton 21: The Foresters built a 35-7 halftime lead en route to a victory in Northfield.

Hamline 21, Macalester 7: Josiah Harris rushed for two touchdowns and Justice Spriggs passed for 238 yards and a TD to lead the host Pipers to the nonconference victory over the Scots.
