An offseason of additions

Jimmy Butler

The three-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA Defensive second-team honoree and All-NBA third-team member last season was acquired from the Bulls on draft night. The Wolves sent young guards Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn and the seventh pick in the draft (Gonzaga's Lauri Markkanen) to Chicago for the 6-7 Butler, 28, and the 16th pick (Creighton center Justin Patton).

Taj Gibson

Gibson (top), 32, signed a two-year, $28 million deal as a free agent after playing for Chicago and Oklahoma City last season. In eight NBA seasons, the 6-9 forward has averaged 9.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Jeff Teague

The point guard signed a three-year, $57 million deal as a free agent on June 30. The Wolves traded starting point guard Ricky Rubio to Utah for a first-round pick (Oklahoma City's in 2018). The 29-year-old Teague (above) played his first seven seasons for Atlanta and averaged 7.8 assists per game last season with the Pacers. Rubio averaged 9.1 assists for the Wolves.

Jamal Crawford

The three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year signed a two-year, $8.9 million contract as a free agent July 9. Crawford, 37, is third among active NBA players in three-pointers made.
