Authorities have reopened a portion of eastbound Hwy. 10 in Coon Rapids that was closed Friday morning to allow medical personnel to rescue a man who was found injured on a railroad track that runs under the highway.
A helicopter was sent to the scene at Egret Blvd. around 8:20 a.m.
The eastbound lanes were closed at Hanson Boulevard.
One lane was reopened about 30 minutes later, and by 9 a.m. the other lanes were reopened.
A spokeswoman with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said the pedestrian was conscious and was not hit by a train.
It was not immediately known how extensive the man's injuries were.
