Twins catcher Joe Mauer and relief pitcher Glen Perkins have been named to the United States roster for the World Baseball Classic in March.
It will be the first WBC appearance for both players.
Justin Morneau will again play for Canada and catcher Drew Butera will play for Italy in the 16-team tournament.
The U.S. has never reached the finals, losing in the second round in 2006 and in the semifinals at Dodger Stadium in 2009.
The full USA roster can be seen here.
