Mark Hvidsten is a designer for the Star Tribune. He has done a bit of everything in his newspaper career, previously working as a beat writer, copy editor, designer, illustrator, section editor and photographer.

Hvidsten lives in New Prague, where he loves the small-town suburban life. He has two college-age daughters, one at St. Scholastica in Duluth and one at New York University, and a son in middle school. If you can't find him at the office in Minneapolis, you likely will find him with a camera at a high school sporting event.
