Comedian Marc Maron can't get enough of Minnesota. One week after blowing the roof off Acme with a string of great shows, Maron's latest WTF podcast features our very own Mary Mack.

Mack is in good company on "WTF With Marc Maron." The online show is one of the most popular comedian podcasts on the web, with guests ranging from Conan O'Brien to Dane Cook. The talks are funny, fascinating and often confessional. Maron's interview with Mack is no different. Mack tells him about digging outhouse holes in northern Wisconsin, life at her sister's bait shop and angry roosters. She also plays her trusty mandolin.

Mack told me that the two actually recorded the podcast late last year in Los Angeles (in Maron's garage). During the podcast Mack is her usual funny awkward self. But she also told me:

"I didn't sleep much the night before so I was really crappy and I forgot to say that I really like doing comedy."

Mack plays Acme May 29-June 2 (she'll also be performing at this year's Fringe Festival in Aug.). If you want to read more about her, check out my profile of the comedian here.

Also worth noting: Before Maron gets to the Mack interview, he opens the podcast with a funny bit about being banned from playing Acme. In my colleague Neal Justin's recent story about Maron (read it here), he explains why club owner Louis Lee hadn't booked the comedian in over a decade (basically: Maron used to be a mean dude). But as Maron explains in the podcast, he thought he had been banned due to a blistering alcohol-fueled weekend in Minneapolis 13 years ago. "At that time, I was doing cocaine -- a lot," he recounts during the podcast. He actually opened his shows at Acme last week with the same story. It's a treat to listen to again.
