A western Wisconsin man who took police on a high-speed chase for miles through Twin Cities suburbs before crashing into three other vehicles on Interstate 494, scattering drugs and allegedly stolen items, was charged by police Friday.

Bradley M. Olsen, 24, was charged with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle. Olsen, of Dresser, Wis., has a previous felony conviction for the same crime in 2013.

He had a felony warrant out for his arrest in Ramsey County when police say he zipped by commuters at speeds up to 120 miles per hour while pitching illicit drugs out the window.

Police said the chase started when they tried to stop the vehicle on a call about an attempted break-in at a boarded-up home in Rogers. The driver roared south on Hwy. 101 and east on I-94 through Dayton and Maple Grove before reaching southbound I-494.

Police said the driver and a passenger pitched drugs out of the vehicle during the pursuit. The passenger has not been charged.
