A Minneapolitan, Kartheiser got his start at the Children's Theatre, where he played The Boy in "The Velveteen Rabbit" (1988), Tommy in "Pippi Longstocking" (1989), Luigi in "Pinocchio" (1991) and Grand Duke Wilfred in "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins" (1994).
Kartheiser returns to his stage home as the special guest at a noon luncheon, April 20, at the Children's Theatre, 2400 3rd Av. S., Mpls. 612-872-5104 or www.childrenstheatre.org.
