If this year's annual auditorium show at Macy's has a familiar ring, it's because "A Day in the Life of an Elf" is the same theme as last year -- and the year before that. Let's call it a holiday tradition, a free one that starts Saturday and runs through Dec. 30. New this year, though, is the puppet show "Moose Crossing," which features the voice of Julie Andrews and runs Thursdays through Sundays until Dec. 23. Tickets, available a half-hour before each 25-minute presentation, are $4 (children under 2 admitted free). Of course, Santa Claus also will be hanging out at the downtown Minneapolis store through Dec. 24 to tally who's been naughty or nice. See www.macys.com/events for details.
