Lynx to face desperate Sky

Preview: One down and two to go. Wednesday's victory in Indiana put the Lynx at 25-7 — giving them at least 25 victories for the sixth time in seven seasons — and put them a game up on Los Angeles for the league's best record. For the Lynx to secure the WNBA's top playoff seed, they have to finish ahead of the Sparks, who hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. The Lynx are 5-5 since Lindsay Whalen went down with a broken finger in her left hand. They face a Chicago team on the verge of playoff elimination. The Sky is two games behind Seattle for the eighth and final playoff spot.

Players to watch: Lynx C Sylvia Fowles has posted double-doubles in her past four games. F Maya Moore has averaged 18.9 points and shgot 47.6 percent in her past 15 games. G Jia Perkins has scored in double figures in three of her past four games. Chicago's backcourt of Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley can score. Vandersloot is coming off a 15-point, 12-assist game vs. Dallas on Wednesday. Quigley had 25 points in that game and C Stefanie Dolson 21.

Numbers: The home team has won 12 of the past 14 games between these two teams. Chicago's 100-76 victory over the Lynx on July 8 — the last time they met — marked the first time since 2011 a team had scored 100 points vs. the Lynx in regulation.

Injuries: Lynx G Lindsay Whalen (hand) is out. Chicago C Dolson (hand) is probable, F Cheyenne Parker (ankle) is questionable and G Jamierra Faulkner (knee) and C Alaina Coates (ankle) are out.
